NSDC International to train 100,000 caregivers for global healthcare roles

To address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the overseas healthcare sector, NSDC International, the international wing of National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) has announced a plan to train around 100,000 caregivers for deployment in countries such as Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and Israel.

In a press statement, NSDC International says it has already placed thousands of trained caregivers across various countries.

It adds that to improve employability, candidates have received soft skills and language training in English and German. As a result, hospitals and institutes abroad have recruited candidates from its programmes.

The skill training organisation says that many Japanese and German companies offered competitive pay packages, reflecting the standard of its training.

The statement adds that many countries are facing a shortage of healthcare professionals, which affects service delivery. As a result, many organisations have partnered with Canada, USA, the UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Japan, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to support their workforce needs.

Additionally, NSDC says that it has established partnerships with institutions such as the University of Cambridge, the Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust, and leading language training providers in Japan and Germany.

According to the press statement, the skill training organisation says that it has begun training candidates for Israel, which requires approximately 5,000 caregivers.

As per the press statement, to support this initiative, NSDC says that it has set up centres across India to train candidates for global roles. These centres offer facilities and training environments aimed at preparing candidates for employment abroad.
