Key speakers from the UNESCO, OECD and many other public and private sector will share their experiences and analysis, including best practices and innovative ways. The United Nations Education Science and Culture Organization

India has been a member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations since its inception in 1946.

India is among the founding members of UNESCO and has been playing a very active role in promoting UNESCO’s ideals and objectives. The Executive Board acting under the authority of the General Conference examines the programme of work for the Organization and corresponding budget estimates submitted to it by the Director-General. It consists of 58 Member States, each with a four-year term of office. It meets twice a year except for the General Conference year, when it meets additionally after the General Conference has finished.

India has established an office of Permanent Delegation at UNESCO, Paris. Ms. Ruchira Kamboj (IFS-87) has taken over as the present Permanent Representative of India (PRI) to UNESCO since 15th April, 2014.

The Europe India Foundation for Excellence

The Europe India Foundation for Excellence – EIFE is a think-tank, innovation-incubator and non-profit organization created with the objective of informing and educating global audience, with a focus on Europe about India. Seeing the potential for development, EIFE has launched an ambitious project, EU-India Skill Development Partnership, with the objective of building a platform with various government, private sector and civil society players to rapidly build up a vibrant skill development partnership ecosystem which envisages help from EU for various aspects of building up skill development in India.

The Foundation will find partners in India and Europe and with them finance, co-produce or encourage research, education and other activities in order to promotes other organisations, companies or events in the domain of, innovation and excellence. Additionally, it proposes to organise events for the promotion of culture, business, social and political relations.
